Materials:

> Teak wood – the handles of our brushes are made out of scrap lumber taken from furniture manufacturers. These previously unwanted lumbers are detoured from landfills and repurposed into cleaning tools by our partner artisan in Central Java.

> Coconut husk – the bristles of our tools are made out of coconut husks (natural fiber extracted from the outer husk of coconuts). Coconut fibers are resistant to grease and they naturally inhibit bacteria growth. Did you know Indonesia is the largest coconut producer in the world? Talk about renewable!

Our cleaning tools are made in central Java, the prime area for furniture manufacturers. A lot of good lumber are dismissed by furniture makers due to a, usually from it not meeting sizing and other stricter quality requirements. Our craftsmen takes these lumber and reprocesses them into our cleaning tools. They are not only biodegradable, but also prevents good wood from becoming waste.
